We have outstanding young artists in our community without a place to create freely, learn new skills, and develop their professional potential. These young creatives are thrilled at the prospect that they will have a place that will help them grow as artists, and individuals, while giving them the real world experiences and skills to achieve their dreams.
Teachers and parents see Young at Art as an opportunity for their youth to have a meaningful outlet to stay out of trouble and be mentored and supported in their creative endeavors.
I am pleased that the Young @ Art mural project will allow student artists to use their talents to create work that will fill a vacant space in our community. I am in full support of this grass roots effort to engage talented young adults in collaborative work with their peers. – Matt Geary (MHS Principal and future Superintendant of Manchester Schools
